Case Study: Navigating ONC 2015 Certification: A Success Story in EHR Development

Medresponsive Case Studies

Overview

The client requirement was to convert a legacy DOS-based program to cloud-based EHR. The product had to be certified for Meaningful use which refers to a set of criteria and standards established by the U.S. government to ensure that healthcare providers and hospitals effectively use EHR systems to improve patient care and healthcare outcomes. The project focused on ONC 2015 / MU Cures Update Certification. The end product is an interoperable EHR application for managing patient data and healthcare operations.
We have developed a number of “EHR” apps that are capable of achieving the requirements of the ONC Certification.

Challenges

The client faced challenges related to data management and meaningful use compliance.

Solutions Offered

Within a span of three months, we successfully obtained Meaningful Use (MU) certification for our product without encountering any issues. We established a dedicated setup for MU certification and diligently adhered to the criteria and standards mandated by the U.S. government. We successfully received certification from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) under the Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) Product No: 15.05.05.3098.MAGE.01.00.1.220127. This certification is a significant achievement and demonstrates the product’s compliance with the necessary standards and requirements for health information technology.
